Life as a RN student

I will graduate nursing school in May 2011. As an RN my options are endless. From working with the community to an Emergency Nurse or as a flight nurse, this career choice is incredible. I signed a Stipend with DCH hospital in Tuscaloosa, in June 2010. DCH paid for this year of school and in return I signed a contract to work for them full-time, post-graduation. I begin my last semester of nursing school in January....YIPPY! But I am far from finished. Next semester will be insane....Between 90 hours of clinicals, 90 hours of Precepting and 2 classess....I'm sure i will want to pull my hair out!
I am so excited to become an RN. I hope to touch someone's heart and show compassion in every aspect of patient care.

Larry and Regina Horton

I am so happy for my mother. November 6, 2010 my mom married a wonderful man, named Larry Horton. After dating for 4 years, Larry asked my mom to marry him in Atlanta, Ga at the Reba McEntire concert. My brother and myself were thrilled!~ Larry is so wonderful to and for my mom. It was a small ceremony in Pell City, and my brother and myself gave my mother away. Following the ceremony was a small reception at Sammy's Touch n Go, filled with many friends and family. I am so happy for you mom!!! I have not seen you smile like you did that day in many years! Cheers to the two of y'all....and many many more to come!
